This Nikon 85mm f1.8 Nikkor-H is a legendary portrait telephoto lens with a blazing fast f1.8 maximum aperture. Upon its release in the 1960s it quickly became considered a "must have" lens by press photographers and photojournalists. Its fast maximum aperture allowed a bright viewfinder image which helped facilitate fast and accurate focusing... not to mention the ability to work more easily in low light conditions. Even today, over 60 years later, this lens is still a prime addition to any Nikon SLR camera. This lens has a 52mm filter thread.
This is a Non-AI Nikon lens best suited for early Nikon SLR cameras designed to work with the Non-AI lens mount. Care should be taken before attempting to mount this lens on a later Nikon camera meant to use AI lenses.
